The CW revealed the first teaser for their upcoming superhero drama The Flash during tonight’s Arrow season two finale.

The teaser is the first time viewers have seen Barry Allen, played by Glee’s Grant Gustin, since he lapsed into a coma in the midseason winter finale.

The Flash stars Gustin (Glee) as Barry Allen/The Flash, a Central City assistant police forensics investigator who, after a freak accident, is struck by lightning and imbued with super speed. Barry was introduced in Arrow’s two-part winter finale. The origin series follows in the footsteps of other superhero adaptations Smallville and Arrow.

Other main cast members include: Candice Patton as Iris West, the female lead and quick-witted love interest of Barry; Jesse L. Martin (Law & Order) as Central City Detective West;  Danielle Panabaker (Necessary Roughness) as bioengineering expert Caitlin Snow; Rick Cosnett (The Vampire Diaries) as Detective Eddie Thawne; Carlos Valdes as mechanical engineering genius Cisco Ramon; Tom Cavanaugh as “rock star” physicist and financial tycoon Harrison Wells; and the original Barry AllenJohn Wesley Shipp (Dawson’s Creek) in a mysterious new role.

Arrow’s Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and David Nutter will executive produce. DC’s Geoff Johns will write and executive produce The Flash.

The Flash was officially ordered to series last week. Look for more trailers and photos to come after The CW’s upfront presentation.
