Former Bold and the Beautiful star Ronn Moss (ex-Ridge) has joined the cast of ABC’s General Hospital reports Soap Opera Digest.

According to reports, Moss will appear in episodes sometime this week. Information regarding his role and length of time he’s expected to appear is unknown at this time. ABC isn’t commenting on Moss’ casting, but it’s believed his appearances will be short term. Of course all of this is speculation at this point, so take anything you hear with a grain of salt.

Ronn Moss originated the role of fashion designer Ridge Forrester on CBS’ The Bold and the Beautiful in 1987. As Ridge, Moss rose to international fame, playing out the never ending love triangle between Ridge, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Taylor (Hunter Tylo).

The actor shocked fans in 2012 when it was announced he was departing the role after 25 years. The soap recast the role in late 2013 with former All My Children star Thorsten Kaye (ex-Zach).

Moss is the latest high-profile addition to General Hospital. Last week, former Young and the Restless star Michelle Stafford (ex-Phyllis, Y&R) made a surprise debut as Nina Clay.
