Teen Wolf fan favorite Daniel Sharman has landed another supernatural role, this time on The CW’s The Originals.
E! News reports the British hunk will play a new character, a witch named Kaleb, in the series’ second season. Said to be a pivotal role, Kaleb is described as handsome, devilish and charming. The character breakdown for Kaleb is as followed: Intent on wreaking havoc, wooing women and causing as much chaos as possible, Kaleb has been deeply wounded by a horrific family upbringing and covers his emotional bruises with a wicked sense of humor, as well as a wicked temper. When you’re on his good side, there’s no better party. Get on his bad side? Well, you’ll regret it.
Sharman, 28, is coming off a two-year stint as troubled werewolf Isaac Lahey on the hit MTV drama Teen Wolf. The actor opted to depart the series at the end of season three, expressing a desire to try other roles. “Daniel Sharman came to us, much like Crystal [Reed] did, and said that he wanted to go out for pilot season and for movies and try something new,” said executive producer Jeff Davis of Sharman’s decision. Though the door was left open for Sharman to return, that might not be possible with his new role.
Sharman’s additional credits include The Nine Lives of Chloe King, Masterpiece: Inspector Lewis and the feature film Immortals (also starring The Originals’ Joseph Morgan).
The Originals has racked up an impressive body count in its first season, most recently in the episode “The Battle of New Orleans”. Be sure to check out TVSource Magazine’s weekly coverage of The Originals, provided by TVSM’s Mandy Treccia.
