ABC wants you know that May is “A-May-Zing” on General Hospital. That remains to be seen, but you can expect the return of the beloved “Nurses Ball,” a special appearance from a fan favorite as determined by you (the fans) and two LIVE episodes.
First thing’s first. Numerous storylines will come to the forefront during the return of the “Nurses Ball” sponsored by Aveeno. The episodes will feature five “M”s – music, mayhem, mystery, muscles and a touch of magic (more Nathan’s meat please). Airing Friday, May 1, Monday, May 4 and Tuesday, May 5, the episodes will feature spectacular fashion and music performances from the cast (in character of course) as the characters raise money charities dedicated to HIV/AIDS awareness. But wait, there’s more! The return of ABC’s Fan February saw fans vote on which character they’d like to see return for a special appearance in May. Fans had to choose between Courtney Matthews, Stefan Cassadine, Mike Corbin and Serena Baldwin. The character chosen by fans will be revealed during the Nurses Ball episodes.
As for some of the storylines taking center stage – Jake’s (Billy Miller) true identity as Jason Quartermaine Morgan is discovered; two proposals are made; one familiar face visits Port Charles; “magic” makes a mesmerizing comeback due to popular demand; and will a phantom (hi Spencer Cassadine) haunt the Nurses Ball this year? Get in on the discussion on social media by using #NursesBall.
And last but not least, live from Hollywood (at Prospect Studios) it’s General Hospital! The May 15 and May 18 episodes will be broadcast live. That’s right folks. No reshoots, no cue cards, just some of the greatest actors performing their craft live. How far will one Port Charles resident go to keep a secret? Who gets caught in the crossfire? Plus, a wedding and more surprises! Twists, turns and shocking revelations as these stories unfold LIVE! Once again, fans can participate in the discussion by using #GHLive.
