0
Congratulations to LANY Entertainment’s The Bay the Series for winning a Daytime Emmy for the highly competitive category Outstanding New Approaches Drama Series.  Recognized by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, The Bay took home the gold after competing with other notable award-winning internet dramas.

Accompanied by cast members and his producing team, executive producer Gregori J. Martin accepted the coveted award at the Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony held Friday, April 24th at The Hilton Los Angeles in Universal City.
“For as long as I can remember,” Martin emotionally stated, “it’s been my dream to win an Emmy.  Tonight that dream came true. It is a great honor to be recognized by the Academy and our peers.”

MartinWith the golden angel in tow, Martin, along with fellow executive producer Kristos Andrews and several of The Bay cast members, walked the red carpet at the 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony Sunday evening at the Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank.  When asked what to expect in Season 4, Martin revealed that fan faves Mary Beth Evans, known for her role as Kayla Brady on NBC’s Days of our Lives, Ronn Moss, the face of CBS’s The Bold and the Beautiful for 25 years and member of the popular band Player, Kristos Andrews, widely recognized for his X Games skateboarding championship and Guinness World Records, and Karrueche Tran, noted model and celebrity host turned actress, are just a few of the cast members who will be returning.
“I’m excited to say we start shooting in four weeks,” Martin offered. “We’ll be campaigning this summer before releasing new episodes in the fall.”  Until then, recent episodes of The Bay the Series can be viewed at www.thebaytheseries.com
This is the second nomination and first win for the award-winning independent series. The Bay received its first Emmy nomination in 2012, and with the show going back into production, LANY Entertainment hopes to once again submit and participate in next year’s Daytime Emmys.
