Days of our Lives star Camila Banus is headed to primetime this summer. TV Source Magazine has learned exclusively that the soap star has landed a recurring on ABC’s sexy summer primetime soap Mistresses.
Star Magazine held its Annual Hollywood Rock Event with special performance by singer Jess Glynne at Le Jardin in Hollywood on Thursday April 14, 2016. TV Source Magazine spoke with the fan favorite on the red carpet.
“I want to let everybody know that I’m doing a recurring role on ABC’s Mistresses,” said Banus. “Season 4 starts soon (May 30) and I’m going to be on there quite a few times so you can catch me on there.”
A rep for the series confirms Banus will play Joss’ (Jes Macallan) assistant Kylie.
As for the FX pilot for John Singleton’s Snowfall that she landed in the fall, Banus tells us there’s still work to be done. “We are doing reshoots and rewrites right now so we are just waiting to hear about that.”
Though she’s landing a lot of primetime work, Days of our Lives fans should fret about her status. The actress tells us she’s sticking around for a while. She previews what’s to come for her character Gabi and her blossoming romance with hot cop JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss).
“What you are starting to see with JJ and Gabi is a beautiful love story that started because two people [were] really hurt from something really painful, which is death. They are mourning in different ways but they are coming together and loving each other in the safest way they possibly can.”
She says though they’re still going through a lot of things; they’re growing into something really cool. “The fans have been amazing! Every day we get a lot of great comments about ‘Cabi’.”
