Business is about to pick up in Salem! The Young and the Restless star Greg Rikaart has joined NBC’s Days of our Lives as a yet-to-be-revealed character, set to air this spring!

TVLine was the first to report the news exclusively. Described as a multi-episode arc, the Emmy winner’s stint on Days won’t impact any recurring appearances on The Young and the Restless.

For fourteen years Rikaart played redeemed bad boy Kevin Fisher on CBS’ Y&R. Fans were stunned over last spring when the actor’s exit was announced. At the time he wrote, “The actor commented on his exit via Instagram writing, “Fourteen years ago, I booked a two-week long gig on The Young and the Restless. In my wildest dreams, I could never have imagined what it would turn into: a career-defining experience that has brought me so much happiness and fulfillment.”

Rikaart returned later in the summer in a recurring capacity, playing a supportive friend to Mariah (Camryn Grimes) during her coming out tale and an unwitting participant in Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) latest machinations against his son.

Days of our Lives airs weekdays on NBC.
