0

Days of our Lives head writer Ron Carlivati, who took over as head writer in 2017, has signed a new deal to remain at the NBC soap. Soap Opera Digest reported the news exclusively in this week’s edition of the magazine now on sale.

“I am both thrilled and grateful to be staying put in Salem,” the scribe told SOD. “From day one, Ken Corday, Greg Meng, and the entire cast and crew at Days of our Lives welcomes me into their family with open arms. It is truly an honor and privilege to write for these wonderful characters on this legendary show.”

Ratings under Ron Carlivati have improved since taking over in 2017, and in 2018 the series won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series. Days of our Lives was recently renewed for Season 55.

Days of our Lives airs weekdays on NBC.
