ABC’s General Hospital has tapped former Passions star Brook Kerr for a mysterious new role set to begin in March. Entertainment Weekly broke the exclusive news on the casting February 26, 2020.

Though little is known about the character Kerr is portraying (including her name), what we do know is she is a doctor, and, from the first look photos available at EW.com, she will be paying a visit to Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) art gallery at some point. Rumor has it the daytime alum will be playing the ex-wife of Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) and mother of their daughter Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla). She will first air March 5.

As mentioned earlier, Brook Kerr previously starred in the NBC supernatural soap Passions, which ran from 1999-2008. Kerr was an original cast member, playing Whitney Russell Harris-Crane from the series inception until 2007. Her character is most known for her forbidden romance with her thought-to-be-brother Chad. Thankfully there was no incest, and the pair was able to jump the broom (though would that have really stopped them).

General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Episodes are available on ABC.com and Hulu.
