Your TV Source Roundup: ‘Run The World’ Renewed, ‘Cobra Kai’ Renewed, ‘Kevin Can F**K Himself’ Renewed, ‘Doogie Kamealoha M.D.’ Trailer and More!

Starz has renewed Run The World for season 2. The comedy series follows a group of Black women in their thirties thriving in Harlem. The series follows their collective friendships, their current and past romantic relationships and their professional lives. The series stars Amber Stevens West, Andrea Bordeaux, Bresha Webb and Corbin Reid. 

Cobra Kai has been renewed at Netflix for season 5 ahead of its season 4 premiere. The Karate Kid spinoff series will go into production on the newly ordered season in the fall. 

AMC has renewed Kevin Can F**k Himself for season 2. The second season will consist of 8 episodes and will premiere in 2022. The series’ unique use of single camera and multi camera setups allowed it to stand out and become the most watched series on AMC+. 

Disney+ has released the trailer for their upcoming new series Doogie Kamealoha M.D. The series is a reboot of Doogie Howser M.D. premiering on Disney+ on September 8.

Chantal Thuy has joined the cast of Magnum P.I. season 4. The Black Lightning standout will play Lia Kaleo, an HPD Detective who has been dating Magnum secretly. Thuy will debut with the season premiere October 1 on CBS.

Neil Hopkins & Joy Osmanski have been upped to series regular for season 3 of The CW’s DC’s Stargirl. Sportsmaster and Tigress were members of the Injustice Society of America and were taken down in season 1. Season 2 of DC’s Stargirl is currently airing. 

Legacies has upped Omono Okojie to series regular. Okojie previously recurred on The CW series. Season 4 will premiere October 14. 

Season 19 of Project Runway is set to premiere October 14. The Bravo series will see Christian Siriano return along with judges Nina Garcia, Brandon Maxwell, and Elaine Welteroth.

CBS has released the first trailer for their upcoming new series NCIS: Hawai’i. The series premieres September 20.
