GENERAL HOSPITAL - Key Art. (ABC)

This week on “General Hospital,” tensions rise as Nina vents her frustration, Josslyn confronts Michael, and Kristina and Sam have a heart to heart. Meanwhile, Sonny shares important news, Spencer picks a fight, and Willow’s loved ones rally around her in a time of need.

The Story: Josslyn Confronts Michael Over His Change of Heart

The future of Dex, and his relationship with Josslyn, hangs in the balance following Michael’s controversial choice not to leverage the incriminating evidence he has against Sonny, thereby sparing the former stepfather from a prison sentence. This decision has sparked a fiery dispute between siblings Josslyn and Michael.

As Eden McCoy, the actress who brings Josslyn to life, told Soap Opera Digest, “She feels betrayed.” The sense of frustration is palpable as Josslyn struggles with the apparent lack of understanding from others about the consequences this decision has on Dex, her significant other. “She views Dex as a person with genuine emotions who is living in fear for his life,” McCoy elaborates.

Despite reneging on his initial agreement with Dex, Michael defends his actions. He argues that he has provided Dex with the financial means to vanish, a solution which brings scant solace to Josslyn. “No one truly comprehends how crucial Dex is to Josslyn,” McCoy points out. She adds that Michael, Sonny, and others in their circle seem to have become nonchalant about sending people away, given their proximity to mob life. This, according to McCoy, is Michael’s preferred way to keep Dex safe from Sonny, who is unaware of Dex’s double agent status.

However, Josslyn doesn’t mince words when it comes to laying the blame on Michael for the predicament she and Dex find themselves in, even going as far as threatening to expose Sonny herself. The storyline thus far has painted a vivid picture of Josslyn supporting Michael during his struggles with Willow’s illness. Now, as she faces her own troubles and Michael doesn’t act in accordance with her wishes, the intricate dynamics and inherent complexities of their sibling relationship are put on full display. Agreement isn’t always a given.
