Mindy Kaling is set to recur in the upcoming third season of Running Point. Kaling, who is the writer and executive producer of the series, will play Divya – The outspoken, confident CEO of a popular gambling app. Much like Isla (Kate Hudson), she’s proudly the first female leader in her male dominated field. Their similarities end there with Divya becoming a thorn in Isla’s plans all season. Kate Hudson will direct the season’s first episode, marking her television directorial debut.
Slow Horses has added seven cast to its upcoming seventh season. Appearing in the Apple TV series are Varada Sethu, Ethan Moorhouse, Tuppence Middleton, Merab Ninidze, and Joshua McGuire, as well as the return of James Callis. Season seven is adapted from the “Bad Actors” novel in the Mick Herron “Slough House” book series, and sees Lamb and his Slow Horses on the hunt to find and neutralize a mole at the heart of British Government before they can bring down the state. The series has been renewed through an eighth season.
Jon Stewart will continue to host Comedy Central’s The Daily Show every Monday and serve as executive producer for the series through December 2028. The Daily Show news team will continue to share hosting duties Tuesday – Thursday. Those include Ronny Chieng, Josh Johnson, Jordan Klepper, Michael Kosta, and Desi Lydic with Troy Iwata and Grace Kuhlenschmidt.
Guest stars for the upcoming second season of Rooster have been announced. Set to appear in the HBO series are O-T Fagbenle, Sutton Foster, Lamorne Morris, Zavior Phillips, and Michael Urie.
Janelle James will debut her first hour long stand-up special on Netflix November 10, titled Janelle James: How Romantic. James covers everything from body counts, bank accounts and why women should wrestle men.

In the sci-fi series, Rintaro Okabe is a self-proclaimed “mad scientist” plagued by paranoid delusions of a nefarious organization known as SERN. Fueled by their imaginations, Okabe and his friends form a secret laboratory and seek to unlock the mysteries of time travel! Blind to the ramifications of their actions, Okabe and company aren’t prepared to deal with the side effects that go along with changing the past.
The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call will return for a second and third season on Netflix. Ju Ji-hoon (Kingdom) returns as Baek Kang-hyuk, a genius surgeon who doesn’t stop at anything to save patients’ lives. Choo Young-woo (The Tale of Lady Ok) also appears again as Yang Jae-won, Kang-hyuk’s first protégé, following in his footsteps as part of the trauma team. In addition, Yoon Kyung-ho (Husbands in Action) is back as Han Yu-rim, who originally opposed Kang-hyuk but is now his trusted partner and the chief of planning and coordination at Hankuk National University Hospital. Jeong Jae-kwang (Take Charge of My Heart) reprises his role as the anesthesiologist Park Gyeong-won, and Jeong Ye-in joins the team as nurse Cheon Jang-mi after going through a rigorous audition process. In the new seasons, the group will demonstrate stronger teamwork to save patients in even more desperate situations. Faced with greater crises and unexpected circumstances, Kang-hyuk strives to expand and stabilize an effective trauma system to save lives.
Christiane Amanpour is leaving CNN in 2027. Amanpour is expected to end her daily show before the end of the year while keeping a weekly show until May. Amanpour is also ending her PBS series by the end of the current year.
La Velada del Año will stream on Netflix for the next three years (the 2027, 2028 and 2029 editions), marking a new chapter in the history of the event created by Ibai Llanos and expanding its reach to a global audience. It has established itself as one of the biggest Spanish-language streaming events. Since its debut in 2021, it has evolved from a boxing event featuring content creators into a large-scale spectacle combining sports, music and entertainment, bringing together some of the most popular digital personalities from Spain and Latin America each year. Its growth has also been reflected in the scale of its live audiences, evolving from a small-scale first edition to filling some of Spain’s largest stadiums, including Madrid’s Metropolitano and Santiago Bernabéu, as well as Seville’s La Cartuja. Until now, it had primarily been streamed on Twitch via Ibai Llanos’ channel. In 2026, the sixth edition expanded its distribution to YouTube and TikTok, ahead of the event entering a new era on Netflix in 2027.
Globo and Netflix announced the largest content licensing agreement ever signed between the two companies. Starting in December, 18 Globo original productions will be available on Netflix, dubbed and subtitled in multiple languages. The package includes 14 films, three telenovelas and one series, with licenses covering different territories. The titles will roll out on Netflix through mid-2027.
