Soap star Stephen Martines (ex-Nikolas, General Hospital; ex-Tony, Guiding Light) and Danielle Savre (Heroes) have landed leading roles in The CW’s Supernatural spinoff, Supernatural: Tribes.
Supernatural: Tribes, from Supernatural writer Andrew Dabb, a sci-fi drama about the various mob-like monster families that unknowingly to humans “run” the underbelly of Chicago and who are being tracked by a newly minted hunter named Ennis who’s trying to stop them and rid Chicago of anything or anyone supernatural.
Martines, an alum of The Vampire Diaries, plays Det. Freddie Costa, a world-weary Chicago police officer with a dark secret. Though he serves as a mentor to Ennis (Lucien Laviscount), he’s secretly on the payroll of one of the city’s supernatural leaders, reports Deadline.
Savre, the first female lead cast, will play Margo, the acting head of the leading shape-shifter family. She’s a former musician-turned-corporate exec who fears nothing and no one — until her estranged brother David (Vampire Diaries alum Nathaniel Buzolic) returns to the family.
Savre and Martines join previously announced cast of Buzolic, Laviscount and Sean Faris, another Vamp Diaries alum who plays a werewolf in the series.
The back-door pilot for Supernatural: Tribes airs Tuesday, April 29.
