A One Tree Hill sequel series is currently in development at Netflix. Sophia Bush and Hilarie Burton are set to reprise their roles as Brooke Davis and Peyton Sawyer. Discussions with other cast members is also ongoing. The series would see the two raising kids of their own dealing with issues similar to the ones they experienced growing up. 

Netflix has canceled Dead Boy Detectives after one season. The series was a part of The Sandman Universe and was originally developed at Max. Edwin Payne and Charles Rowland are  “the brains” and “the brawn” behind the Dead Boy Detectives agency. Teenagers born decades apart who find each other only in death, Edwin and Charles are best friends and ghosts… who solve mysteries. They will do anything to stick together – including escaping evil witches, Hell and Death herself. With the help of a clairvoyant named Crystal and her friend Niko, they are able to crack some of the mortal realm’s most mystifying paranormal cases. 

Yellowstone returns November 10 on Paramount Network. Fans can experience the phenomenon from the very beginning with Season 1-5 this upcoming Labor Day Weekend starting Friday, 8/30 at 7pm PT/10pm ET and continues all day Saturday 8/31 through Monday 9/2. 

First-Time Buyer’s Club returns on OWN September 13. The series is an authentic and in-depth look at the exciting but complex journey of becoming a homeowner for the very first time, no matter the stage in life. Amina Stevens, a former teacher-turned-realtor believes there is a path for everyone to become a homeowner. Filmed across the Tampa Bay area, each episode follows Amina as she creates a custom plan for new clients, navigating the many pros and cons of various homes and locales. Amina goes out of her way to educate and inspire clients who may be intimidated by the overwhelming housing market. By investigating each client’s unique situation, Amina takes pride in helping her clients break through the myths about home ownership so they can one day realize their dreams. 

HBO has renewed City of God: The Fight Rages On for a second season. The series is a sequel to the award-winning 2002 film. The series’ plot follows the characters 20 years after the events of the renowned film, through the lens of Wilson, who returns to the community when a young drug dealer’s release from prison puts City of God in dispute once again. The residents end up trapped between drug dealers, militias and government authorities. However, their desire to break this cycle drives the community to unite and confront their oppressors. 

Season 28 of The View will kick off September 3 on ABC. Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro will welcome an exciting lineup of politicians, celebrities and newsmakers in the first two weeks, including Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, Gov. Josh Shapiro, Venus Williams, Katie Ledecky, Lauren Sanchez, Kathryn Hahn, Joe Locke and more. 

Season six of Tamron Hall premieres September 3. It will feature can’t-miss, exclusive interviews and star-studded performances from Miranda Lambert, Quincy Brown, Chloe Bailey, Method Man, Dolly Parton, Sanaa Lathan, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Eve, Lil Rel Howery, Ina Garten, Jay Pharoah, Yara Shahidi, as well as a special live set from “The Reunion Tour” with Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, Marvin Sapp and Fred Hammond. It will also focus on the theme of “nurture” as well as bring viewers more inspirational, entertaining and topical conversations. The season will also feature a new theme song by duo The Baylor Project. 

In celebration of 85 years of Marvel, The Walt Disney Company released a new brand spot that takes a look back at Marvel storytelling through the years as well as gives a sneak peek at what’s to come with new clips from upcoming projects that are debuting as part of this spot. It features first looks from the highly anticipated upcoming films and series such as Red Hulk in Captain America: Brave New World, Daredevil: Born Again, Ironheart, and Thunderbolts*.
