The Shards premieres August 5 on FX. The seductive drama series from executive producer Ryan Murphy is based on the acclaimed bestselling novel by Bret Easton Ellis. Friday the 13th prequel series Crystal Lake will premiere October 15 on Peacock. Competition series Cocktail Wars premieres August 18 on E!. Steve Buscemi has joined the cast of FX’s Far Cry. The anthology series based on the video game franchise will also star Rob Mac and Lizzy Caplan.
Nominations have been announced for the upcoming 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. Daytime drama series The Young and the Restless leads with 18 nominations. New series Beyond The Gates is just behind with 15 nominations. General Hospital came in third with 13 nominations.

Lifetime’s Buried in Barstow will return for two new films, Buried in Barstow: Blood for Blood and Buried in Barstow: The Reckoning, to continue the story of former assassin Hazel King. Kristoffer Polaha returns as Elliot, the former doctor determined to reclaim the career he lost while building a new life with Hazel and Lauren Ashley Richards reprises her role as Hazel’s daughter Joy. Megan Follows joins the cast as Zadie, the enigmatic matriarch of a powerful construction family whose interests in Barstow soon intersect with Hazel’s in increasingly dangerous ways. Harmon’s daughter, Finley Sehorn, will make her acting debut in the films, portraying a young Hazel. The movies follow former assassin Hazel King (Angie Harmon) as she tries to build a quiet life for herself and her daughter but her dark past keeps coming back to haunt her. As new threats and unexpected connections emerge, Hazel must navigate loyalty, motherhood, and the possibility of redemption, while confronting who she used to be.
ESPN will exclusively present the 2026 WNBA All-Star Draft on Wednesday, July 15, from 3:30-4 p.m. ET on ESPN, as Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famers Cynthia Cooper and Teresa Weatherspoon draft the teams for the 2026 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game. Hosted by NBA Today and WNBA Countdown host Malika Andrews from ESPN’s Los Angeles studios, the 30-minute special will feature Cooper and Weatherspoon drafting their All-Star rosters. The 2026 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game will be played in Chicago at United Center on Saturday, July 25, and broadcast on ABC and Disney+ (8:30 p.m. ET). The game broadcast will be preceded by a special edition of WNBA Countdown (ABC, 8 p.m. ET), and will be followed by WNBA Postgame (ABC, 10:30 p.m. ET).
The Vampire Lestat: One Night Only LIVE, the standing-room-only performance celebrating AMC’s premiere of its newly-released The Vampire Lestat at New York City’s iconic Beacon Theatre last month, will make its streaming debut on AMC+ on Sunday, August 23. Additionally, highlights from the electrifying premiere event, featuring original songs from series composer Daniel Hart and performed by Sam Reid, will be screened for fans in Hall H at Comic Con International on Friday, July 24. Following the screening, cast and executive producers from The Vampire Lestat will take the Hall H stage for the first time to reflect on the series’ jaw-dropping season finale, premiering Sunday, July 19 on AMC and AMC+.
