Netflix has renewed Crew Girl for a second season. Sixteen-year-old Teagan Tao (Miku Martineau) was a rising star in single sculls rowing until a family scandal capsized her future. Forced to relocate with her mom (Jessica Paré) to the East Coast, Teagan starts over at the prestigious Easton Prep, where she’s not just an outcast but stuck aground – there’s no girls’ rowing team. Her only way to the water is to take the helm of the school’s notoriously dysfunctional boys’ varsity crew as their coxswain. Thrust into a world of old money and brutal competition, Teagan must find a way to lead a team that doesn’t want her and somehow bring them together. As she juggles her own rowing ambitions, the demands of the boys’ crew, and her family’s escalating complications, she also finds herself unexpectedly caught in the orbit of the team’s two most competitive rivals: the arrogant team captain, Josh Regis (Sam Braun), and the quiet but intensely driven underdog, Cam Dillinger (Kyle Clark).
Disney+ has ordered an all new animated Darkwing Duck series. For the last 35 years, Darkwing Duck has been trapped in his worst nightmare: an alternate world that’s never heard of his superhero exploits. Now a rebellious teen named Duckie who knows all about his heroic past shows up to pull this ego-fueled vigilante back into battle. Together, this unlikely duo will get dangerous to fight old enemies like Negaduck and Megavolt and reunite with allies Launchpad, Gosalyn and Morgana to save the entire universe. Drama series Rules of Prey, an adaptation of journalist John Sandford’s acclaimed book series “Prey” is coming soon to MGM+. Based on the first book in a collection of thirty-five, the series follows Lucas Davenport, formerly a detective in the Minneapolis Police Department, drawn out of seclusion back into law enforcement to investigate a series of confounding murders designed to send a message specifically to him. When an ingenious serial killer begins murdering Minneapolis citizens, Davenport, a brilliant polymath and unconventional investigator, takes the case, sparking an intense psychological duel with an equally intelligent adversary. Raye, Sombr, and Teddy Swims will come together for a tribute performance to honor musical genius and icon George Michael during the 2026 MTV Music Video Awards. Hosted by Snoop Dogg, the “VMAs” will air Sunday, Sept. 27 (7:30-9:30 PM, ET/4:30-6:30 PM, PT) on CBS.
The Breakdown with Peyton and Kuechly brings Pro Football Hall of Famers Peyton Manning and Luke Kuechly inside the film room to preview some of the biggest upcoming Monday Night Football games and matchups of the NFL season. New episodes will debut Fridays on the ESPN App, with select episodes also airing on ESPN. Across 11 episodes, Manning and Kuechly will combine their perspectives from opposite sides of the ball to break down the strategy, preparation and key storylines ahead of marquee NFL matchups. The first eight episodes will preview select Monday Night Football games throughout the regular season, followed by editions surrounding the Wild Card and Divisional rounds of the NFL playoffs. The series will conclude with an episode previewing Super Bowl LXI, ESPN’s first Super Bowl production.
Psychological thriller Her Baby premieres October 7 on BET. Set against the emotional stakes of a long-awaited pregnancy, the series follows Naomi and Cory Marsh as they prepare to welcome their child with the help of Imani, a surrogate who seems almost too good to be true. Warm, devoted, and impossibly attuned to their needs, she moves into the Marsh home to carry the couple’s child.
