Ronn Moss Exits 'Bold & the Beautiful'

The Bold & the Beautiful star Ronn Moss (Ridge) is leaving the CBS soap he has called home since 1987, when the soap began.

EW.com broke the story in an exclusive report. The site is reporting that the production company behind the soap, Bell Phillip Television, needed to cut actors’ salaries after CBS imposed cuts on production. Moss’ contract was up for renewal and the actor made the choice to walk away as opposed to working for a reduced salary.

A spokesperson for Bell Phillip Television confirmed the exit in a statement to EW. “Ron has spent an amazing 25 years with B&B. We will always consider him family and we wish him only the best in all his future endeavors.”

Moss was one of the last four remaining original cast members, along with Susan Flannery, John McCook and Katherine Kelly Lang. He will tape his final scenes on Tuesday, Aug. 14 and his last airdate will be sometime in September.
