ABC Picks Up Soapy 'Mistresses' For Summer 2013

Thinking ahead to the future, ABC has given a series order to K.J. Steinberg’s ‘Mistresses.’

Mistresses, based on its British counterpart, revolves around four women with scandalous love lives, caught in the storms of excitement and self-discovery, secrecy and betrayl, and find themselves at the mercy of the complex relationships they’ve created. Steinberg (co-creator of The Nine) wrote the pilot and will executive produce with Bob Sertner and Douglas Raue of Ecosse Films.

Steinberg is also working on the pilot for the drama Gilded Lillys with Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes.

Mistresses is targeted for a summer 2013 premiere.
