CW sets a date for 'Gossip Girl's' series finale

We all know the end is near for our favorite Upper East Side gang, but now we know just how close we are to the final episode of “Gossip Girl.”

TVLine was the first to report the news that an official airdate had been set for the last episode, which according to TVLine is titled, “New York, I Love You XOXO.” The CW will air the episode on Monday, Dec. 17 as part of a two-hour special. The first hour of the night will feature a look back at the show’s six-year run.

What can we expect from the series finale? We know the identity of Gossip Girl will be revealed and we also know that Katie Cassidy, Connor Paolo and Taylor Momsen will be reprising their respective roles as Juliet, Eric and Jenny. Thanks to some filming photos, we know that Chuck and Blair and Serena and Dan will have weddings, but the question remains as to whether or not those are real or part of some kind of dream sequence.

Hit the comments below and tell us what you’d like to see in the final episode(s). “Gossip Girl” airs Mondays at 9:00 p.m. EST on The CW.
