General Hospital’s new executive producer Frank Valentini made a bold move just days after officially taking over the soap — he’s bringing four stars from One Life to Live to GH!
What if Blair Cramer came face to face with Carly Corinthos? What if Starr Manning was tapped as the new face of Crimson Magazine? What would happen if John McBain and Jason Morgan went head to head? You won’t have to wonder “what if” much longer! Fan favorites Kassie DePaiva (Blair Cramer), Roger Howarth (Todd Manning), Kristen Alderson (Starr Manning) and Michael Easton (John McBain) will report to the set of GH later this month for a major storyline set to kick off in February!
“We have a very exciting story planned for the citizens of Port Charles, with Sonny Corinthos at the center of it! I am confident viewers and fans alike will be excited for the arrival of John, Starr, Blair and Todd,” said Valentini in a release. “Incorporating characters from ‘One Life to Live’ continue the legacy of the show as we weave them into ‘General Hospital.'”
Once the news was out, DePaiva tweeted her excitement. “Wow…I can’t believe it is official. Just when I thought Blair had to hang her hat up for good she’s pulling out a suitcase and heading west. Thrilled to be joining [Roger Howarth], Kristen Alderson and [Michael Easton] in Port Charles where all the big boys and girls play. They have an awesome cast. Can’t wait to work with them.”
Kristen Alderson was thrilled to discuss her new job. “Yay! Everyone can know now! Pinch me,” the actress tweeted. “Starr Manning is moving to Port Charles! So excited to work with the cast of General Hospital.”
While the Mannings moving to Port Charles will come as a surprise for some, news of McBain relocating as well should not. Last month our friends at Soaps in Depth reported the actor would be bringing his character over to the Port Charles Police Department. The mag also reported Ted King (Tomas, OLTL; ex-Alcazar, GH) would be returning to his old stomping grounds. There’s no new developments on King at press time.
jason morgan and john mcbain on the same soap? both are my heroes so they better get it right.
I like the fact that these characters are joining General Hospital, but what about “Natalie”? We waited for them be together and now you are.separating them! Not cool!
jesus, this will be a whole cluster-ck. I love how Sonny will be the center of their s/l coming into town. Why does this just smell of disaster? -___-
