Reinventing The Abbotts

After a long search, with names like Josh Duhon (ex- Logan Hayes, GH) rumored to be up for the role of the youngest Abbott, former All My Children star Billy Miller is joining The Young and the Restless as Billy Abbott, the youngest son of John(Jerry Douglas) and Jill Abbott (Jess Walton).

Miller joins the number one soap in September after his very successful run on All My Children. Miller first appeared on All My Children in August 2007 and quickly won over many soap fans with his portrayal of Annie Lavery’s sadistic and troubled brother.

Billy Miller will have a tough road ahead of him as he tackles the role of John and Jill Abbott’s son. With only a guest starring appearance on CSI: NY under his belt before joining All My Children, Miller is tackling a role that has yet to be successfully recasted. Daytime Emmy winner David Tom first played the role of Billy Abbott from 1999 to 2002. After Tom’s successful run, Ryan Brown joined The Young and the Restless in 2002. After less than a year Brown was let go. In 2006 Scott Seymour was the next actor to portray Billy Abbott. Seymour never caught on with the fans and only lasted three months.

Now that Billy Abbott is coming home what does this mean for the rest of the Abbotts? Eileen Davidson (Ashley Abbott, B&B) has been bumped to recurring on The Bold and the Beautiful, could this mean that Ashley could return home as well? Continue to check TVSource Magazine for more details.
