Vanessa Marcil is jumping into the reality game. Even though she’s landed a recurring role NBC’s Lipstick Jungle as music manager Josie, Marcil will be joining Lifetime’s Blush: The Search for the Next Makeup Artist. She will now add host to her resume for this six episode series. Joining the reality series with Marcil are makeup artist Charlie Green, In Style fashion director Hal Rubenstein and makeup artist Joanna Schlip as judges.

This is Marcil’s first time hosting a reality series but not her first time hosting a show. She was the hostess of the 31st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. Marcil is best known for her time on General Hospital‘s heroine Brenda Barrett for which she won the Daytime Supporting Actress Emmy in 2003. During her tenure in Port Charles she was involved in one of the most successful love triangles of all time with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher).

Marcil has had a successful career in primetime and film. She recently starred as casino host Sam Marquez in Las Vegas for five seasons. She has also appeared as Gina Kincaid in Beverly Hills 90210 from 1998 to 2000. Marcil also appeared in Spin City, Crossing Jordan and The Rock with Nicolas Cage and Sean Connery.

Look for the debut of Blush: The Search for the Next Makeup Artist on Lifetime November 11 at 10 pm ET.
