Rebecca Budig Helping Raise Money For The Band From TV

Rebecca Budig (Greenlee Smythe, All My Children) is helping to raise money when she will joins her husband Bob Guiney’s band, The Band From TV. The band consists of several prime time actors and actresses including Greg Grunberg, James Kyson Lee and Adrian Pasdar from Heroes, James Denton from Desperate Housewives and Jesse Spencer from House.

The goal of The Band From TV is to raise money for various charities. They want to celebrate and enjoy classic music and possibly live out their rock and roll fantasies. The majority of their money raised from their various shows and the sale of their upcoming DVD will go to charity.

The Band From TV came together when Grunberg went to the House of Blues to play with some celebrities. He enjoyed playing so much that he decided to gather some celebrities together for the purpose of raising money for charitable causes. Grunberg guest starred on House and he met Hugh Laurie. Soon thereafter he was at a charity event and he played with James Denton and Bob Guiney. Next Bonnie Sommerville from House and the Band From TV was born. Soon more celebrities including Teri Hatcher and Jesse Spencer joined. The band now plays around the country raising money for the charities that are close to their hearts. 7pm on grounds of the Autry National Center in Los Angeles.

“My oldest son has epilepsy and I saw this band as a wonderful vehicle to help raise money for the National Epilepsy Foundation,” comments Grunberg. “Having band mates who also happen to be in some of the most popular shows on television creates an amazing opportunity to really reach out to our fans to help support these wonderful causes,” adds Grunberg. Teri Hatcher supports the Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation, James Denton works with The Conservation Fund, Bob Guiney supports The Art of Elysium. Bonnie Somerville supports the Child Abuse Prevention Program and the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Jesse Spencer supports The Indiana University-Kenya Partnership. Support for additional charitable organizations are in the works.

The Band from TV will be playing at the Autry National Center in Los Angeles on October 9th. The Band will be at Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut on October 11th. You must be 21 to attend the concert at Mohegan Sun. Arrive early as seating is limited for the 8 pm show.
