Emmy winner Cynthia Watros (ex-Annie, GL) cast on the hit FOX series “House”.
She may be getting Lost as Libby once again while the mind boggling series comes to a conclusion, but Cynthia Watros has already found her next gig. Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello broke the news that the actress has been cast on Fox’s critically acclaimed medical drama House. Soap fans will remember Watros from her flawless performance as Annie Dutton, who went toe-to-toe against the slut of Springfield herself, Kim Zimmer, in the mid-90s on Guiding Light. The Daytime Emmy winning actress will portray James Wilson’s (Robert Sean Leonard) new girlfriend. This will mark the first time Wilson has had a romantic interest since lady love Amber (Anne Dudek) died two years prior. But, in typical House fashion, there is a twist. Watros’s character, who has yet to be named, is Wilson’s first (of three) ex-wife! The two exes will be rekindling their flame this spring when Watros kicks off her multiple episode run in April.
Since being killed off of Lost in 2006, Watros has guest starred on TNT’s freshman hit Men of a Certain Age and has starred in a slew of dead-in-the-water pilots including a CBS show opposite Tom Cavanaugh and the failed Gossip Girl spinoff starring fellow Guiding Light alum Brittany Snow (ex-Daisy). She also appeared in the play, The Caterer, last year. You can catch Watros on ABC Family’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager in this week’s episode, a role that may recur. Watros plays a possible love interest for Mark Derwin’s (ex-Ben, OLTL) character, George.
