Tristan Rogers Heading to ‘The Young and the Restless’

Soap veteran Tristan Rogers (ex-Robert, GH) is heading to The Young and the Restless in a new recurring role. The longtime fan favorite wrote on his Twitter page today, “I want to welcome the latest member to the cast of [The] Young and the Restless…me.”

General Hospital Vet Cast on Y&R

A rep for the show told TV Guide Magazine that Rogers will play “a mysterious and charming stranger named Colin who comes to Genoa City with a dark secret and a threatening agenda.” Rogers begins filming October 27 and will first air December 8. Soap Opera Digest speculates he may play the ringleader of the cattle rustling gang that’s threatening Cane (Daniel Goddard).

Editor’s POV: This is great news for Y&R. The show continues to hire recognizable faces, most recently Maura West (as Diane) and Paul Leyden (as Blake). While this news will certainly disappoint GH fans hoping for Scorpio family reunion, GH has had ample opportunity to bring Rogers back and has opted not to. GH’s loss is Y&R’s gain.
