Sonny and Brenda have differing views on parenting.
PARENTHOOD
The week kicks off as Sonny and Brenda getting into a major fight over how they handled parenting Kristina. Later, Sonny and Brenda continue to lock horns. Their tension escalates, but they compromise and they plan a fun outing for the whole family. While Sonny and Brenda seek to smooth over a rough patch, Kristina asks Dante to convince Sonny she can date Ethan. Elsewhere, Anthony Zacchara is up to his old tricks. The crazy old man unleashes a ghoulish plan to mess with Sonny, Brenda and her son.
Later, young Alec is treated to the sight of his first dead body when Brenda takes him to Sonny’s office. Upset by stumbling upon the hitwoman’s dead body, a protective Brenda argues with Sonny. Sonny tries to reassure Brenda he will do everything in his power to keep her and Alec safe from violence. Jason shows up as Brenda urges Sonny to quit the mob and let Jason take the reins. Kristina also asks Michael to help convince Sonny she can date Ethan. Later, both Michael and Kristina support Sonny as a father when Brenda questions them about growing up in the mob world.
ELSEWHERE IN PORT CHARLES
Jason and Anthony face off when Johnny offers Michael a job in the Zacchara business. Lulu plans to revamp the Haunted Star for Luke’s return from rehab, but is crushed to learn her father left rehab the day he checked in. Jason appeals to Michael to cut off contact with the Zaccharas, but Michael stubbornly insists he will consider Johnny’s job offer. Abby calls Michael out on his dangerous behavior, and they break up. Jason and Elizabeth have another emotional encounter and Jason realizes his current predicament with Michael mirrors his experience with Jake. Lulu plans to track down her dad. Maxie sees through Lulu’s near-manic drive to remodel the Haunted Star, reminding her that it won’t bring Luke back to Port Charles.
Tracy makes plans to sell the Haunted Star, in hopes it will stop Lulu from enabling Luke. Carly is stunned as she sees Shawn in an uncharacteristic outburst with Patrick. Later, Jax puts together incriminating evidence of Shawn’s dark past. Jax asks Robin then Olivia to testify against Carly, but they both refuse. Maxie confides in Matt her concerns about Lulu’s codependency. Lulu convinces Nikolas to invest in the Haunted Star. After Jax proves Shawn was involved in the death of a fellow soldier, Carly has no choice but to fire Shawn. The week doesn’t end too well for Jax as he finds himself on the wrong side of Shawn’s fist.

For the Memorial Day holiday, General Hospital re-airs the February 25, 2011 episode where James Franco guest stars as Brenda’s limo explodes on her wedding day to Sonny on Monday, May 30th.
Elizabeth asks Robin to cover for her at the hospital after she makes a major error on Tuesday, May 31st.
Sam feels uncomfortable when Alexis, Molly and Kristina show up at the Penthouse with baby on the brain on Wednesday , June 1st.
Brenda and Alec happen upon a dead body in Sonny’s office on Thursday, June 2nd.
As Jason looks on, Brenda begs Sonny to quit the mob and hand things over to Jason on Friday, June 3rd.
COMING SOON: WEEK OF JUNE 6TH
Ethan discovers Maya in bed with another man. Shawn shares a secret with Carly. Jason and Sam discuss his leaving the mob. Matt helps Maxie out at Crimson. Michael is accepted into PCU. Elizabeth continues to slip up at work. Alexis and Sonny rush to stop Ethan and Kristina from getting married.
