‘90210’s’ Blake Hood has joined the cast of ‘The Young and the Restless’ as the newly aged Kyle Jenkins Abbott.
THR reports that Hood will make his debut on Friday, April 27. Kyle, the son of Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and the late Diane Jenkins (Maura west), left the canvas last year to attend boarding school after the brutal murder of his mother.
A few months ago Y&R issued a casting call looking for someone to play the contract role of Max, a handsome, All-American in his early 20s, clean cut and very fit. Though Max is a great guy and seems to have it call, he carries a chip on his shoulder due to people from his past.
Hood played the villainous Mark Driscoll during the second season of 90210. Mark was at the center of various issues with the Wilson family. First there was a sexting scandal with Annie (Shenae Grimes), held Dixon’s (Tristan Wilds) massive gambling debt over his head, and later tried to blackmail their father Harry (Rob Estes) for covering up his and Dixon’s break in at the school.
His additional credits include guest spots on Desperate Housewives, Cold Case and 2 Broke Girls. He also appeared in the 2010 film, Easy A.
ok I am not a die hard fan of The young and restless, but I do occasionally watch, mostly to kill sheer boredom of the “nothing on daytime tv” syndrome but seriously what in the heck, how can Kyle Abbott leave a few months (if that long) ago and return today as a grown adolescent. this is one dumb move! JS!!
