The WWE announced today they will be launching a new TV series called WWE Main Event on the ION Network, a network who will reach approximately 100 million homes. The new series will debut on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 9pm/EST and feature WWE Divas and Superstars from RAW and SmackDown rosters.
“ION Television is delighted to begin a new partnership with such a successful and well-recognized franchise as WWE,” said Brandon Burgess, CEO, ION Media Networks. “As a general entertainment network with a solid foundation, WWE Main Event is a great addition to our lineup that features something for everyone. We look forward to introducing our ION audience to all of the excitement and drama WWE has to offer as well as welcoming a passionate new fan base to the network.”

WWE Main Event will have in-ring action and air storylines from WWE RAW and SmackDown. It will offer the big arena experience with a live audience just as WWE’s other television programs currently airing on USA and SYFY.
