Showtime announced today that its Emmy Award-winning drama “Homeland” is already guaranteed another season.

The series hit a new ratings’ high this past Sunday with 1.75 million viewers and the drama is already doing better than its first season, which averaged 4.4 million weekly viewers. Season 2 is averaging around 5.2 million across all platforms so far.

My POV: Is anyone surprised? With all the awards Homeland got, it’d be shocking if it somehow got cancelled. Now, with the developments in this week’s episode, my question is, how are they going to be able to keep the games they’ve been playing so far?

“Homeland” airs Sundays at 10 p.m. EST on Showtime.
