‘All My Children’ Recasts Colby Chandler; New Doctor Cast

The Online Network announced today, the additions of Brooke Newton and Jason Pendergraft to the cast of the popular serial drama All My Children.

Brooke Newton will assume the role of Colby Chandler, last played by Natalie Hall. Colby, daughter of Chandler Family patriarch Adam Chandler, is described as spoiled and entitled. All true by the way. Newton’s first airdate is set for Thursday, May 16.

Newton, a former cheerleader for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, began her acting career at the age of nine, appearing in numerous TV commercials. The actress prior credits include appearances on Gary Unmarried, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Glee, How I Met Your Mother, Mad Men and Suburgatory. This summer, Newton has several films set to be released including Jake Squared, Hamlet’s Ghost, Jet Set and A Leading Man. She can also be seen in Rob Lowe’s feature film Knife Fight currently in theaters.

Jason Pendergraft will play the new role of Dr. Anders, a handsome, all-business physician. His first episode is Monday, May 27.

Pendergraft, who was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, earned a degree in Theater from University of Washington.  He moved to New York City where he studied at the William Esper Studio for three years. His television credits include Law & Order, As the World Turns, CSI: New York, How to Make It in America, Gossip Girl, Army Wives and White Collar, among others. His film credits include When Will I Be Loved and Frat Brothers of the KVL. When he’s not in front of television cameras, Pendergraft is an accomplished carpenter and cabinetmaker.

Brand new 30-minute episodes of “All My Children” launch Mondays through Thursdays and are available to stream online in HD when available via the free Hulu.com service and to subscribers of Hulu Plus making these venerable dramas available in a new format that suits the viewing habits of the digital generation. In addition, the iTunes Store will offer both series via iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Apple TV and Mac or PC.  The weekly recap and behind-the-scenes show “MORE All My Children,” hosted by Leslie Miller, launch each Friday.

Last week’s premiere week of All My Children topped the charts on iTunes and Hulu.
