Super Villain ‘Billy Clyde Tuggle’ Returns to ‘All My Children’

He toppled off a bridge 20 years ago, causing a great exhalation of relief to residents of Pine Valley – (as well as certain young viewers in college—ahem).  The terrifying Billy Clyde Tuggle has, however, bounced back and returned to wreak havoc in the all-too-happy burg on The Online Network’s All My Children.

Played to psychotic perfection by the incomparable Matthew Cowles – who created and wrote the character himself – Billy Clyde is a former pimp; now he’s a born-again Christian.  His motives, of course, are anything but charitable – particularly when it comes to former obsession and target Dixie Martin (Cady McClain), whose life he made into a Seventh Circle of Hell and whose sanity he played with for sheer amusement. Billy Clyde will light up All My Children with his own brand of fire beginning May 16.

Cowles is a veteran and highly-regarded actor, having starred in several television shows and feature films, including Lonesome Dove, Law & Order, Oz, The World According to Garp, and Shutter Island.  He has also appeared on Broadway with “Sweet Bird of Youth” and “The Time of Your Life”.

Brand new 30-minute episodes of “All My Children” launch Mondays through Thursdays and are available to stream online in HD when available via the free Hulu.com service and to subscribers of Hulu Plus making these venerable dramas available in a new format that suits the viewing habits of the digital generation. The iTunes Store offers both series via iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Apple TV and Mac or PC.  In addition, the weekly behind-the-scenes and lifestyle shows “MORE All My Children,” and “MORE One Life To Live” hosted by Leslie Miller, are available each Friday.

The CW orders dramas ‘The 100’, ‘The Tomorrow People’, ‘Reign’ and ‘Star-Crossed’ to series
