It looks like White Collar’s Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer) is getting a new love interest. Late Tuesday night, news broke that Bridget Regan has booked a major guest role for the drama’s fifth season.

Regan will play Rebecca Lowe, a rare book scholar, who becomes entangled with Neal’s latest con and then with Neal himself, according to Deadline, which first reported the casting. Regan is currently signed on for 10 episodes.

Fans will recall that Neal and his last love interest, Sara (Hilarie Burton), had a lovely goodbye in the fourth season finale, where they talked about how things might have worked out differently for them in another time, in another life before Sara moved to London.

Regan’s prior TV credits include Beauty and the Beast, Perception, NCIS: Los Angeles, Person of Interest and Legend of the Seeker. She recently starred in the ABC pilot Murder in Manhattan, which the network passed on.

White Collar returns to USA Network this fall.
