Kelly Sullivan Out at ‘General Hospital’?

Well this is unexpected. General Hospital star Kelly Sullivan is reportedly on her way out according to reports from Soap Opera Digest.

The actress took over the role of ice-Queen fashion publisher Kate Howard in the fall of 2011. Sullivan’s storylines involved the rekindling of Kate’s romance with first-love Sonny Corinthos, the discovery of an alternate personality Connie, a long-lost child and eventual integration Kate’s personalities. The DID story dominated in 2012, with Kate’s alter Connie creating havoc all over Port Charles.

After Kate and Connie integrated in early 2013, Sullivan’s airtime was almost non-existent until recently. The show is currently laying the foundation for a triangle between Connie, Sonny and Olivia.

My Take: I’m not pleased with this at all. Though exact details are slim, it’s believed that contract talks broke down between the actress and GH. I’m shocked this happened, mainly due to the upcoming Sonny/Olivia/Connie storyline.
