Fans of All My Children and One Life to Live got some great news on Wednesday afternoon. Oprah Winfrey’s Network (OWN) announced that it would be airing the first 40 episodes of the soaps beginning on Monday, July 15.

The 10-week “Summer Fling” will allow the network to host an exclusive run of the shows, which made their internet debut online April 29. Half-hour episodes of each show will air Monday-Thursday with AMC at 1 p.m. EST and OLTL at 3 p.m. EST.

In a press statement, Erik Logan, OWN President, said, “These shows have proven to be very popular with a significant, loyal fan base, not to mention Oprah herself is a big fan. Many of our viewers across numerous platforms have expressed their passion for the soaps so we are especially excited to air this limited engagement on OWN.”

Jeff Kwatinetx, CEO of Prospect Park Networks also released a statement. “We are excited to bring OWN viewers and our audience at large an opportunity to catch up on All My Children and One Life to Live. We look forward to our millions of fan enjoying the first 40 episodes of the shows.”

This announcement comes the day after TOLN announced that a week’s worth of each soap (two half-hour episodes, plus a MORE episode) will be released on Mondays to allow viewers to watch at their own pace or binge view.
