On the heels of the news that The CW was bumping up the premiere date for “The Originals,” there was also a casting development on Monday afternoon. “Pretty Little Liars” Steven Krueger has been tapped for the recurring role of Josh.

The casting breakdown described Josh as “a male in his early 20s, hot and naïve, curious gay tourist partying with friends in New Orleans, who ends up in the wrong part of the French Quarter and his trip has dire consequences.”

According to TV Guide, which first reported the casting news, Krueger will appear in three episodes and the ‘wrong part’ of the French Quarter that he ends up in is Marcel’s (Charles Michael Davis) bar.

Krueger played Emily’s (Shay Mitchell) boyfriend Ben in the first season of “Pretty Little Liars.” He recently appeared in “Anger Management.”

“The Originals” premieres Thursday, Oct. 3 at 9/8c on The CW.
