‘Under the Dome’ Preview: ‘Blue on Blue’ gives Chester’s Mill a chance to say goodbye

In the last episode of CBS’s summer drama Under the Dome, the military on the outside of the dome seemed to be retreating. Does this mean their experiments are over or is there a chance they might have figured out what caused the dome to descend on Chester’s Mill?

Unfortunately, that does not seem to be the case. In “Blue on Blue”, the military brings family members and friends to the outside of the dome to reunite with their loved ones. Obviously people can’t hear each other through the barrier, but that doesn’t stop people from wanting to see those who are on opposite sides.

However, judging by the preview video provided by the network, the military is not staging reunions out of the goodness of their hearts. As Julia warns the town, the military is planning on launching a missile at the dome, which means this isn’t a visit; it’s a chance to say a permanent goodbye.

Under the Dome airs Monday, July 22 at 10/9c on CBS.
