One of the many bright spots of Hart of Dixie’s sophomore season was the unlikely pairing of George (Scott Porter) and Tansy (Mircea Monroe). The two seemed to have very little in common, but it worked for them. We had fun to watching them try to navigate the relationship waters together.
Unfortunately, all of that went out the window late in the season when Tansy began to worry that George still had feelings for Zoe (Rachel Bilson). Her solution for making their relationship work was to take George’s boat and sail away from Bluebell. Sadly, George disagreed and they parted ways.
But fear not, shippers, the relationship might not be completely doomed after all. Showrunner Leila Gerstein told TVLine that over the summer, George realized he let Tansy go too fast and he should have fought harder for her. Gerstein also said that George’s connection with Zoe has run its course for the foreseeable future.
So what does this mean for George and Tansy? We’re hoping that the lovely lady will agree to give George a second chance. We want to see more of the mismatched duo’s relationship and more of Tansy in general.
Do you think George let Tansy go too fast? Or would you rather see the characters with other people? Hit the comments and share your thoughts!
Hart of Dixie returns Monday, Oct. 7 at 8/7c on The CW.
I love George and Tansy!!! They’re so cute together and balance each other out really well, just like Zoe and Wade.
