‘The Originals’ Video Preview: Marcel reminds Sophie who is in charge

Witches and vampires do not coexist peacefully in New Orleans; at least not according to the latest clip of The Originals.

Fans who watched the series backdoor pilot that aired in April as an episode of The Vampire Diaries, witnessed Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) killing Jane-Anne (Malaya Rivera Drew) to teach the other witches a lesson: no one breaks his rules and lives to tell about it.

In the series premiere, “Always and Forever,” Elijah (Daniel Gillies) is looking for answers and is warned to stay out of sight as Marcel approaches a grieving Sophie (Daniella Pineda). The video clip shows Marcel asking Sophie what she knows about Klaus’ (Joseph Morgan) reasons for coming to the French Quarter.

Sophie denies knowing anything and Marcel clearly doesn’t believe her. He orders his vampires to take Jane-Anne’s body as Sophie begs him not to because she knows her sister’s spirit won’t be at peace until she’s buried with their ancestors. Check out the video to hear Marcel’s response.
