‘Once Upon a Time’ Photo Preview: Who Will Win the Next Round of Wicked vs. Evil?

ABC/Jack Rowand

Last week Once Upon a Time ended on a somber note when Neal gave his life to make sure that his father could come back and tell everyone the witch’s identity. Rumplestiltskin did reemerge and supply Emma with Zelena’s name, but the Wicked Witch was still in possession of his dagger and she immediately forced Rumple back into his cage.

It’s Not Easy Being Green” will give us more of Zelena’s backstory, including the witch asking the wizard to send her to the Enchanted Forest where her sister Regina was getting lessons from the Dark One. But is Zelena really causing all of this chaos just because she’s jealous her sister got magic lessons from a sorcerer before she did?

We’re guessing there’s more to the story and even though we’ve already seen the reveal once, it’s going to be fun to watch Regina learn the truth about her connection to Zelena again in Storybrooke. The town residents have gathered for the battle and is it just us or does it seem like Zelena is trying to rip out Regina’s heart? Does she want to kill her or does she need the heart to add to her collection of courage (Charming’s) and brains (Rumple’s)?

The photos also show the characters gathering to bury and mourn Neal. We’re going to go ahead and stock up on tissues for those scenes and it’s terrible that Rumple won’t be there to say goodbye to his son. But there are some familiar faces in the crowd that we haven’t seen in a while, including the Lost Boys, Blue and Tinker Bell.
