TVSource Magazine’s West Coast Editor, William Dallman, attended the 41th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, CA. General Hospital newcomer Vinessa Antoine (Jordan) briefly spoke with TVSource Magazine on the Daytime Emmy red carpet.
TVSource Magazine: How did you land the role of Jordan?
Vinessa Antoine: I auditioned and it was a three or four month process.”
TVSource Magazine: Given your past work in primetime, did you have any difficulty adjusting to the fast pace of soap production?
Vinessa Antoine: At first. But at this point I’ve gotten used to it and really like that it is so quick.
TVSource Magazine: On soap operas in particular, chemistry is such an important factor. Do you think that’s something that comes naturally or can you work to build it?
Vinessa Antoine: Oh, it is something that just happens. I have worked with people before where it just isn’t clicking, and so far with Sean [Blakemore], Finola [Hughes] and everyone, it has been a joy.
TVSource Magazine: Is there anyone that you’d like to work with that you haven’t yet?
Vinessa Antoine: Maurice [Benard] and a few other people.
TVSource Magazine: Is there anything you can tease about what’s coming up with your storyline?
Vinessa Antoine: I will say that there is a possible love scene coming up, but I won’t say with who. It is probably not who you think.
