ABC’s Scandal has enlisted Arrested Development alum Portia de Rossi in a “top secret” recurring role for the show’s fourth season.
DeGeneres’ wife and Scandal superfan, Ellen DeGeneres, tweeted, “So annoying when people brag on twitter & that’s why I’m not tweeting that Portia just signed on to do a top secret arc on ‘Scandal’. Oops.”
Though Scandal executive producer Shonda Rhimes has promoted season four as a return to its “core,” that obviously doesn’t preclude the series from adding to its ranks. With no details about her role, let the speculation begin!
de Rossi’s previous credits include Sean Saves the World, Mockingbird Lane, Better Off Ted, Nip/Tuck and Ally McBeal.
Scandal returns to screens September 25.
