It’s been an ugly Friday for 2014-15 freshman shows. CBS has joined the cancellation fray and axed two of its dramas, Stalker and Battle Creek, as well as a comedy, The McCarthys.
Update May 9, 8:40 pm EST: Though there is no official word from the network, Deadline is reporting that CBS is considering ways to give CSI a proper sendoff, including a potential two-hour movie to wrap the series or a shortened Season 16, which may consist of six episodes. There are also talks happening to renew CSI: Cyber that may include a retooling of the show.
The network gave early renewals to 2 Broke Girls, The Big Bang Theory, Madam Secretary, Mike & Molly, Mom, NCIS: New Orleans and Scorpion.
The series finale of The Mentalist aired Feb. 18 and the series finale of Two and a Half Men aired Feb. 19. The Millers was officially canceled earlier this season.
No word yet on the fates of The Amazing Race, Blue Bloods, Criminal Minds, Elementary, The Good Wife, Hawaii Five-O, NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, The Odd Couple, Person of Interest and Survivor.
