On the cusp of its much anticipated 50th anniversary, Days of our Lives launches a new, faster-paced show with a fresh look and murder-mystery sure to have fans and critics alike gasping for what’s next!
It’s a #BetterDAYS ahead for NBC’s Days of our Lives. With new co-executive producer Albert Alarr and stories penned by new Daytime Emmy Award winning head writers Josh Griffith and Dena Higley, Corday Productions wants you to know this isn’t the show it was two weeks ago. Tapping into the history of notorious serial killers, the new creative team kicked off its new murder mystery on Thursday, August 27 and the mystery will continue well through the anniversary with many stories that will spin off and continue through the new year.
With a slew of iconic favorites returning this fall, fans will not want to miss a minute of the thrilling stories, twists and turns to come. Cast returning include: Peter Reckell (Bo), Stephen Nichols (Patch), Alison Sweeney (Sami), Jason Cook (Shawn), Thaao Penghlis (Andre), Martha Madison (Belle), Camila Banus (Gabi), and Tamara Braun (Ava). It’s not just the return of old, as the series will gradually introduce its next generation of heroes, villains and shades of grey with a relaunched teen scene featuring the children of supercouples Bo and Hope, Belle and Shawn, Patch and Kayla, and Abe & Lexie.
Days of our Lives celebrates its 50th anniversary November 8, 2015 making it the longest running scripted drama on NBC.
