General Hospital is celebrating the holidays with its Nutcracker Gala beginning on December 18th. The Quartermaine family is hosting the event to raise funds for Toys for Tots. Four time Grammy Award winner India.Arie will lend her vocal talents to the party.
Nothing says the holidays like a little friendly competition between family. After coming up with a name for the stylish formal fundraiser, Monica (Leslie Charleson) and Tracy (Jane Elliot) will square off to see who can raise the most donations to help Toys for Tots, a charity program that distributes toys to children in need. The Port Charles society queens will enlist the help of others — through emotional manipulation and blackmail if need be — to ensure they have the best event possible.
Viewers can join in by donating a toy to their local Toys for Tots campaign. Spread the word by Tweeting using the hashtags #GHToysForTots and #NutcrackerGala. For more information, visit Toys for Tots’ official site.
