Josh Bowman and Freddie Stroma have been cast in lead roles in the ABC time-travel pilot Time After Time.
Time After Time, from Kevin Williamson (Scream, The Vampire Diaries, The Following) is based on the Karl Alexander novel of the same name. Williamson will write and executive produce the series through his production company Outerbanks Entertainment and WBTV. Marcos Siega will helm the pilot.
The drama will use the film and novel as a starting point to chronicle the adventures of a young H.G. Wells as he travels through time. UnReal star Freddie Stroma (who will also appear in this season of HBO’s Game of Thrones) has been cast as Wells.
Revenge star Josh Bowman has been cast as John Stevenson, a brilliant and charismatic surgeon living a secret life as infamous serial killer Jack the Ripper. Wells will travel through time with intentions on bringing Jack the Ripper to justice.
Time After Time was one of four drama pilots picked up by the alphabet network in January.
