Bokeem Woodbine and Nona Parker Johnson have joined the cast of Dexter: Resurrection. In addition to Woodbine and Johnson’s casting in the upcoming second season, Paramount+ recently announced that Brian Cox will join this season as “The New York Ripper,” Uma Thurman will reprise her role as Charley and Dan Stevens will play “The Five Borough Killer.” 

A magical cast has been summoned for the ‘Wizards Beyond Waverly Place‘ final season. Selena Gomez, Jennifer Stone, Gregg Sulkin, and Maria Canals-Barrera will guest star in the new season. Billie, still reeling from losing Alex at the end of Season 2, discovers that the only way to rescue her mother is to reunite with her long-lost father. As her family bands together to find Alex, Billie realizes that their combined power is the only way the Russos can defeat the evil plaguing them.

The English dub of Mistress Kanan is Devilishly Easy premieres April 18 on Crunchyroll. Kanan the “Gourmet Devil” has descended upon the human world with one goal: to gorge herself on youthful souls. Her first target is high schooler Youji Kyougi—except her plan backfires horribly! Instead of her meal, he’s now her…boyfriend?! Even though she’s lived for thousands of years, Kanan has never known love! Can a devil survive the dangers of dates, hand-holding, and her very first romance?

The WONDERfools premieres May 15 on Netflix. Set in 1999, the series is an adventure comedy series about a group of neighborhood misfits who unexpectedly gain superpowers and must band together to take on villains threatening world peace. 

The English dub of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime season four premieres April 17 on Crunchyroll. Demon Lord Rimuru’s dream of creating an alliance between humans and monsters takes a step closer to being realized. As Tempest continues to prosper, Granville Rozzo and his granddaughter, Maribel Rozzo, clash with Demon Lord Rimuru over their plan to protect mankind by ruling over them. Meanwhile, in El Dorado, Demon Lord Leon works toward goals of his own. The awakening of a new Hero draws near!

International survival competition series Naked and Afraid: Global Showdown premieres May 17 on Discovery Channel. Divided into seven pairs representing their homelands, survivalists’ skills will be tested by three brutal and unpredictable ecosystems in South Africa’s Zululand. From a scorching savannah stalked by leopards and rhinos to a humid marshland ruled by hippos and crocodiles, and into the violent Indian Ocean teeming with Zambezi sharks, teams must battle both the brutal elements and one another. Over the 40-day challenge, they’re given no food, no water, and no clothes as their primitive bushcraft skills, resilience, and interpersonal relationships are pushed to the extreme. 

TNT Sports will drop the puck on its coverage of the 2026 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs featuring up to 28 First Round games, starting Sunday, April 19 with Game 1 of Anže Kopitar, Artemi Panarin and the Los Angeles Kings’ showdown with the league-leading Colorado Avalanche, powered by star duo Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar. Kenny Albert, Eddie Olczyk and Brian Boucher will be on the call from Ball Arena. Later at 5:45 p.m., TNT Sports will host a star-studded battle between Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield and the Montreal Canadiens against Nikita Kucherov, Brayden Point and Andrei Vasilevskiy’s powerhouse Tampa Bay Lightning. Brendan Burke, Darren Pang and Jody Shelley will call the action from Benchmark International Arena. 

With the NHL regular season now complete, the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs on ESPN presented by GEICO have arrived as 16 teams face off for the most prestigious trophy in sports. Action begins with a tripleheader on Saturday, April 18 (3 p.m. ET, 5:30 p.m. ET, 8 p.m. ET, ESPN), followed by a doubleheader on Sunday (7:30 p.m. ET, 10 p.m. ET, ESPN). In all, 16 First Round games will play out over the first ten days on ESPN and ESPN2.

For the first time on FOX, the NCAA college basketball season starts on an international stage, as Notre Dame and Villanova meet in the ETERNAL CITY TIP-OFF – an unprecedented college basketball matchup of their men’s and women’s teams in Rome on Nov. 1, 2026.
