The CW has announced premiere dates for its fall 2016 schedule, and keeping with previous year’s practice, will bow its new and returning series in October.
The CW’s new season kicks off on Tuesday, October 4 with the Season 3 premiere of its number one drama The Flash at 8:00 pm, followed by the series premiere of the new romantic comedy No Tomorrow starring Joshua Sasse at 9:00 pm.
On Wednesday, October 5, Arrow returns for its fifth season premiere and serves as the lead-in in for the debut of the intense new thriller Frequency starring Peyton List, Riley Smith and Mekhi Phifer.
The iHeart Radio Music Festival airs over two nights on Thursday, October 6 and Friday, October 7. The staggered rollout continues into the following weeks.
Supergirl makes its CW debut on Monday, October 10. The network will air an encore of the premiere of No Tomorrow at 9:00 pm. The following week on October 17, the network’s award-winning critically acclaimed comedy Jane the Virgin returns for its third season at 9:00 pm.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow returns for its second season on October 13, followed by the return of the never-ending Supernatural, entering its 12th season.
The following week the chronicles of Mystic Falls’ heroic vampires resumes with the season 8 premiere of The Vampire Diaries on October 21, followed by the return of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend starring Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice Award winner Rachel Bloom.
The CW is holding The 100, The Originals, iZombie, Reign and Riverdale for the midseason schedule.
