General Hospital fan favorite Kirsten Storms (Maxie) is returning to work! The soap temporarily recast the role of Maxie with Days of our Lives star Molly Burnett (ex-Melanie) during Storms’ hiatus.
The actress had to take some off from work due to problems with her skin. “I am taking a little break from work due to some skin issues I’ve been having,” wrote the actress on Twitter. “My doctor’s say my breakouts are due to stress, but shouldn’t take too long to get under control.” Storms went on to say it was becoming increasingly difficult for the makeup department to cover up her issues, and thus took some time off to heal.
According to a GH rep, Storms will be seen on-screen the first week of August. That puts her return to set somewhere around the first week of July due to the soaps’ taping schedule. Burnett continues to film in Storms’ absence.
