All-Star Robert Roldan and Next Generation Star J.T. Church
TVSM: Your Mr. Bojangles number with J.T. was about being a mentor in a sense is there something JT has taught you that you are going to take away from this experience?
Robert Roldan: Oh absolutely, there’s so much I learned from him. He taught me how to always be true to myself, always be myself, and always stay where my heart is. He doesn’t know any better so he’s just himself, he can’t be anyone but himself. It reminded me because I use to be like that, so it helped me to know who I am is just as good as anything else.
TVSM: What was your favorite dance of the night?
J.T. Church: It was probably my dance with Robert because I look up to him so much. And I think the storyline of the dance was perfect for us. We have a lot of great memories together and we went out there and gave it our all.
TVSM: What’s one thing Robert has taught you?
J.T. Church: The one thing Robert has taught me, that I will never forget is to believe in myself, because sometimes I doubt myself because I am the youngest. I get in my head, he says not think about and just cherish every moment because we never know when it’s going to end. He always has really good energy that I need to boost my confidence.

All-Star Gaby Diaz
TVSM: Is there a particular style of dance, that maybe you weren’t familiar with but fell in love with after?
Gaby Diaz: Honestly, I haven’t gotten the chance to do Ballroom and that’s one style that I would just LOVE to get the chance to dive into. I didn’t get the chance to do it my season (Season 12 which she won) So I’m secretly hoping that Emma gets a Ballroom piece so I can be around and kind of reap the benefits of it. But Ballroom I appreciate it so much.

Next Generation Star Kida Burns
TVSM: Is there a particular style of dance, that maybe you weren’t familiar with but fell in love with after?
Kida Burns: Personally it would have to be Contemporary that’s one I really didn’t think I would be able to do it but I accomplished it, and that’s one of the reason why I’m here. To be a dancer you want to be able to show that you are good at all styles and overall its America’s Favorite Dancer. Today the Paso Doble was really out of my element and it was choreographed by Mark Ballas, who is an amazing choreographer. It was the hardest routine that I had to learn in this journey, even in my life and I accomplished it. I was telling myself, okay I’m not going to doubt myself because I know I can do anything I put my mind to and I did it today.

Next Generation Stars Tahani Anderson and Emma Hellenkamp
TVSM: What was you guys favorite dance of the night?
Tahani Anderson: Honestly all of them, I got to dance with Ruby (Broadway) even though she’s gone in the show, I got to share her last moment and that was very very special to me. I fell like even through it was the end of the show it’s not going to be the end of her whole world. She is so amazing; she’s going to blowing our phones up.
Emma Hellenkamp: For me, my dances I don’t even know what to choose. Because my first dance was a Contemporary duo with J.T. choreographed by Travis Wall. It was also my first time working (Choreographer) Nick Young and doing another tap duo with Gaby. I loved them both I don’t even know how I would choose.
