Daniel Hall Cast as ‘The Young and the Restless’ Scotty Grainger Jr.

Lauren Fenmore’s (Tracey E. Bregman)’s eldest son is coming home to Genoa City! Daniel Hall has been cast as The Young and the Restless‘ Scott “Scotty” Grainer, Jr., reports Soap Opera Digest.

Last seen in 2006, Scotty has rarely been mentioned in the decade since. The last time he was in Genoa City, Scotty (then-Blair Redford) fell victim to the machinations and seduction of Lauren’s longtime enemy Sheila Carter (then-Kimberlin Brown). Digest reports the actor is already taping and little details are known about the story planned and first airdate.

Hall is a relative newcomer to daytime, minus minor appearances on CBS’ Guiding Light. His past credits include Mad Men, Rizzoli & Isles, Grandfathered and Quarry.

The TVSource Podcast listed the return of Scotty as one of their wishes for 2017. How will Scotty’s return impact Lauren and Michael’s relationship? Will he play a role in helping save the family’s company? We hope baby brother Fen (as played by the awesome Max Ehrich) won’t be too far behind him.
